In my experience, I have found that change is easier for the younger than it is for the older, hence the old adage,” You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” Children tend to love and trust easily. Children are also very teachable and adaptable. This is why the Bible says that whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child receives it, will by no means enter in (Mk 10:15). When it comes to God, I must love and trust Him easily, and I must be teachable; I can’t know it all! Generally, I am slow to adapt to change, however, because I am know that I can’t enter the kingdom unless I become like a child (i.e. adaptable, teachable, loving and trusting of God) then, I know I must adjust my thinking to fit the requirement.

I’m not gonna say that I am resistent to change, but I’m also not going to say that I EASILY EMBRACE change either
There are times that I just move forward with change and do what is necessary and sometimes, I take a ‘phased approach’ to change
I do understand that change is necessary in order to go to the next level, and with that comes letting go of things you can’t take with you to the next level. It can be a mindset, people, any number of things, and that can be hard. I think with any change comes a struggle that goes on in the mind and that is why renewing our minds in the Word of God is so important.

I feel that change is inevitable at all ages. I agree with Cook because at a young age you are more willing to learn because you are going through a process of finding yourself. Now the thing we often misunderstand is the reason for change. Are you changing for Christ or are you changing for the world? Whenever god orchestrates the change things should be smooth because you are focused on his will.
